Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment forms, but also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help us detect spam.

An anonymized string (also called a hash) created from your email addresses can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible next to your comment.

Newsletter

When visitors sign up for the theater newsletter, by pressing the “Subscribe” button, they agree to receive Odeon Theater newsletters with content specific to the theater as well as promotional announcements. Registration for the newsletter will only be done when the acceptance link in the email box of the person signing up is clicked. The registration form collects the data shown in the form, but also the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string in the browser to help us detect spam.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill them in again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be valid for one year.

If you go to our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted when you close the browser.

When you log in, we’ll also set some cookies to save your login information and screen display options. Authentication cookies are kept for two days and those for display options are kept for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login cookies will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the authentication cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include personal data and simply indicates the ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if visitors viewed another website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with embedded content, including tracking your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged in in that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This way we can automatically recognize and approve all subsequent comments instead of holding them in a queue for moderation.

For users (if any) who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (but cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account or have left comments on this website, you can request to receive an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include all data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
