What have we inherited from our mothers, fathers, grandmothers? What connects us to their worlds, to their stories, to the vulnerable points of our memories? How do we write a monologue starting from a memory?
For several months, starting from March 25, within the Playwriting Workshop #6, eight students from the Master’s Degree in Playwriting (first year) and the Master’s Degree in Acting (second year) at UNATC wrote dramatic scripts starting from family legacies. It was a complex process of exploring painful, healing, liberating memories. The monologues have dramatic force, tension and humor. Come and discover them!
The Playwriting Workshop #6 within the fourth edition, New Voices, of the European project Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe, coordinated by Mihaela Michailov, is the last of the current edition (2023-2025).
Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe has been working with artists, professionals and European institutions for over 10 years, supporting the careers of playwrights and promoting a diverse, sustainable ecosystem with equal opportunities between genders.
The current edition, entitled New Voices, focuses on the development of a new generation of playwrights, the discovery and support of new voices, under the coordination of mentor playwrights who form the Fabulamundi Community.
