Odeon is one of the most “travelling” of the theatres in Romania. This autumn is part of the selection of 11 festivals throughout the country with 5 of its productions.
The performance that starts the tour season is “Svejk” after Jaroslav Hašek, directed by Alexandru Dabija and it will take part of the “Days and nights of Theatre” Festival in Brăila, (September 20th). “The arms and the man” by Bernard Shaw, directed by Andrei Şerban, that will have a total of 6 participations at: Classical Theatre Festival, Arad (November 14th) ”Toma Caragiu” Festival, Ploieşti (October, 31st), International Festival of Theatre Stories, Alba Iulia (October 15th), National Comedy Festival, Galaţi (October 10th), Short Theatre Festival, Oradea (September 26th), Theatre Festival “No Borders”, Satu Mare (September 24th). In Iaşi, at the Young Theatre Festival, Iaşi (October 10th) will take part “Typographic Capital Letters” a production by Gianina Cărbunariu.
In Bucharest, the show “Robinson Crusoe’s diary”, a musical after The island by Gellu Naum, directed by Mihai Măniuţiu, will take part in FESTin on the Boulevard Festival, (October 8th) and The National Theatre Festival (October 24th), and “The seagull” by A. P. Cehov, directed by Andrei și Andreea Grosu can be seen in Excelsior Teen-fest (October 1st).
