This year’s international journey of GARDENIA – after the tours in Chișinău (Republic of Moldova) and Budapest (Hungary) – ends on another continent, this time in China.
During the Daliangshan International Theatre Festival of China (DITF) – 29th of November – 10th of December 2023, we played, on 9th and 10th of December, three performances of the show GARDENIA by Elżbieta Chowaniec, directed by Zoltán Balázs (Hungary), with Antoaneta Zaharia, Paula Niculiță, Simona Popescu, Mădălina Ciotea.
The show was produced within the European project Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe , that aims to support contemporary European dramaturgy.
The director and manager of Maladype Színház in Budapest, Zoltán Balázs, joined us in China.
The theme of the fifth edition of the festival is “Return and look”, returning to the essence of theatre and looking at the true nature of life.
