Sacha Guitry (1885–1957) was a well-known French stage and film actor, screenwriter, director and author of boulevard plays. He made his first stage appearance at the age of five and began writing at sixteen and a half. A prolific playwright, his work includes 124 plays.
Guitry was regarded as a modern Molière, a benchmark of writing excellency.
The short plays that make up the production Tertium non datur (written between 1905 and 1939) are filled with fantasy and charm, featuring witty dialogues infused with intelligence and humor. Everything flows effortlessly, light and natural, and the third option is indeed possible -Tertium non datur.
